IRIDESCENT MECHANICS
Inspired by the lines of the Carrera Nanograph series, its design is enhanced by a spectrum of vibrant colors achieved through an exclusive technique. This edition is limited to 150 watches.
Although monochrome dials have become more prevalent over the past few years, colors still retain their ability to dazzle. Just have a look at the new Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Polychrome by TAG Heuer and you’ll understand why. The openworked architecture displays the vivid hues of the rainbow. Each tinge of color enhances the main actors of the scenography. A light blue adorns the chronograph counters. The shimmering colors encircle the regulating mechanism. The hands and hour markers are highlighted with luminescent white paint. To attain these intense gradated shades, the company called on Positive Coating, the only supplier in the world to master this delicate technique.
This attractive composition fits inside a 45mm diameter case machined in grade 5 titanium with a black physical vapor deposition (PVD) brushed finish. A carbon bezel covers the case. The inclusion of a tachymeter scale and the random patterns inherent to this material further enhance the watch’s sporty personality. As for its sapphire back, this allows an appreciation of the elements of the Heuer 02T caliber, notably the sublime iridescent openworked oscillating weight. This self-winding movement excels not only in precision but also in performance. Its chronometry is certified by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). Its power reserve approaches 80 hours. Cutting-edge technology and fine watchmaking come together for a spirited and contemporary limited series.
