The brand has been center staging glacier-hued shades since 2022. Its new iteration invites to discover a nocturnal vision set off by the glints of a never-seen-before alloy.

Montblanc enhances its Iced Sea Automatic Date collection with an ever-so alluring reference. Like the other dive watches, its dial stands out through its one-of-a-kind texture, this time round conjuring up a black glacier, imagined using the gratté-boisé technique. It features the range-specific time-data scenescape which flaunts an hour chapter comprising markers and large hour and minute hands. All these white Super-LumiNova^®-topped items ensure excellent readability under any conditions of light, even in the dark of night.

This timepiece also stands out with its case. It pursues with the original 41 mm diameter yet takes on the warm tones of cupro aluminum, a copper and aluminum alloy that’s sturdier than bronze. Although it resists salt-water corrosion better than its trendy copper-based counterpart, this material will also reap the benefits of the patina of time down through the years. What’s more, to create a perfect stylistic match, the unidirectional rotating knurled aluminum bezel dazzles with its bi-color brown and black surface.

To boost the case’s waterproofness down to depths of 300 meters, the bronze back, engraved with a diver and an iceberg is screwed down, as is the crown. As such, this holder offers effective protection for the selfwinding caliber (38 hours’ power reserve) which also drives the date display at 3 o’clock. With this 1,969-piece limited edition, the manufacture pays a vibrant tribute to the mountains showcased through the shrewd use of Super-LumiNova^® and a groundbreaking material.

Montblanc plays its role in protecting the environment by using a new fiber, CARBO₂, developed through a process that absorbs CO₂ from the production of biogas and mineral waste in recycling facilities. This material is used to craft the 1858 Geosphere O Oxygen CARBO₂‘s 43.5 mm-diameter case, waterproof to depths of 100 m.

This watch, which is ready to travel the world, takes advantage of CARBO₂‘s many assets, including its sturdiness and ultra-lightness. The one-of-a-kind pattern on its surface enhances the model’s style and is a perfect match for the gradient-toned hues of the dial set off with a black sfumato effect and textures obtained using the gratté-boisé technique. On top, world time can be read on both northern and southern hemispheres, placed respectively at 12 and 6 o’clock, and decorated with a 24-hour scale featuring day/night indication. An azure trim center stages the Greenwich meridian. A second time zone display and date complete the time information. All the data is driven by the selfwinding MB 29.25 caliber (42 hours of power reserve). The “Zero Oxygen” process used inside the case ensures no fogging occurs and prevents oxidation. According to Montblanc, this process “ensures all the components last longer and will provide continued precision over time”. A certificate comes with each timepiece and guarantees the watch has been successfully encased without oxygen.

Never lose sight of your markers, whether time-based or geographical. This is exactly what Montblanc proposes with its new 1858 Automatic 24H. It doesn’t just tell the time but it also keeps track of the north. And, even if any watch lets you find it by using a bit of mental exercise, with this timepiece it’s even easier. The only hand to be seen hovers over the 24-hour chapter and the five-degree graduated compass scale which also hosts the four cardinal points in red.

To find the north, you just have to remember that at midday, the sun is full south. In the northern hemisphere, you’ll adjust your watch precisely by holding it out horizontally parallel to the ground and by turning it round until the tip of the hour hand points towards the sun. By doing this, the cardinal points on the dial will be perfectly aligned. The north is at 24h and the south at 12. In the southern hemisphere, you’ve got to remember that the cardinal points are reversed.

The watch’s 42 mm two-tone steel case features a bronze alloy bezel which protects a self-winding movement (delivering a 42-hour power reserve). The black dial showcases the map of the northern hemisphere and the 24 meridian lines in luminescent material. The formal elegance of Star Legacy models is emphasized even more so once on the wrist as seen with this new chronograph, highly-stylish and highly-practical with its date.

Star Legacy, one of Montblanc’s classical watch collections, which draws its inspiration from pocket watch lines, is enhanced this year with a new reference, the Chrono Day & Date. Like all the timepieces from the range, its 43 mm-diameter case adorns a rounded, polished pebble shape. The brand proposes two versions of dial. The first features an ivory hue and boasts a flange and silvery-white counters. The Roman numerals and indexes displayed are hovered over by rose-gold-coated hands. Blued hands make reading short-cycle time, measured by the chronograph, incredibly easy. The second boasts an anthracite face with black rhodium-plated, Super-LumiNova®-coated Roman numerals, indexes and hands for perfect readability in the dark.

All the time data is powered by the energy supplied by the MB25.07 caliber. This self-winding movement offers the timepiece a power reserve of some 48 hours. Elapsed time is displayed via a central direct-drive, a 30-minute totalizer and a 12-hour counter respectively set at 12 and 6 o’clock. The mechanism ticks over the day and date in a double aperture nestling at 3 o’clock.

The Heritage collection, inspired by the classic watches created by Minerva over 50 years ago, has just grown, welcoming two new monopusher chronographs, the first automatic and the second hand-wound.

Montblanc’s well-named Heritage collection, worthy successor to the classic watches created by Minerva back in the middle of the 20^th century, welcomes two monopusher chronographs on board. These timepieces with their timeless style are designed for any woman or man sensitive to fine materials and the elegance of their silhouette. Both pieces host a dial with a rather identical overall look with its sunray-brushed finish, its sandblasted ring featuring dot-style indexes and relief-displayed Arabic numerals hovered over by Dauphine-shaped hour and minute hands.

The Heritage Manufacture Pulsograph Limited Edition, available in just 100 pieces, reiterates the same stylistic codes as the “doctor’s watch” version unveiled at the 2019 SIHH, though rose gold is now center staged on the 40 mm-diameter case instead of steel and the salmon-pink color has been replaced by a warm Havana brown on the dial edged with a golden-yellow-hued Pulsograph scale. The watch, still driven by the hand-wound MB M13.21 caliber, displays the hours and minutes in the center and the small seconds at 9 o’clock whilst the chronograph controlled by a monopusher at 2 o’clock is measured via the large direct-drive and minute totalizer at 3 o’clock. This sophisticated ensemble is set off by a caramel-colored Sfumato alligator strap clasped by a rose gold ardillon buckle.

Given the great success of its salmon-pink dial last year, Montblanc has embraced it in its Heritage Monopusher Chronograph model powered by the automatic MB 25.12 caliber. This movement, which delivers 48 hours of power reserve, nestles in a 42-mm diameter steel case whose crown at 3 o’clock incorporates the pusher which activates the chronograph. This watch is worn on a gray Sfumato alligator strap attached by a steel folding clasp.

A stock of around thirty perfectly functional original Minerva calibers has enabled the Hamburg brand to design a very exclusive edition with a rather retro style, especially thanks to its salmon-colored dial.

With the new Heritage Small Seconds Limited Edition 38, Montblanc unveils both a beautiful story and an exclusive watch of which only 38 pieces are available. Indeed, the Hamburg brand discovered a batch of 38 perfectly functional Minerva calibers dating from 2003. These hand-wound movements, more than 15 years old, called MB M62.00, are modernized versions of the N°48 Pythagoras caliber produced by the Villeret manufacture in the 1940s, which gave rise to 5 models, including the reference A481-AR, which resembles the Heritage Small Seconds Limited Edition 38.

Like the old version, this new Montblanc model has a curved, sunny, salmon pink lacquered dial with a granulated ring on which the hour circle rests and a blue counter for the seconds that “eats” the upper part of the 6. The applied pea and number markers are filled with white Super-LumiNova® as well as the line that highlights the curved dolphin-style hour and minute hands. This very retro set is curved with a blue timer (except for the 30 and 60 in red) under which the name Minerva discreetly appears between 4 and 5 o’clock.

Hours, minutes and seconds are thus punctuated by the famous MB M62.00 caliber, which beats at the soft frequency of 2.5hz and delivers 50 hours. This motor is housed in a 39mm diameter and 9.45mm thick steel case and is visible through the sapphire crystal back.

Unveiled at the 2019 SIHH in Geneva, this model, equipped with practical everyday functions, will entice you with its lines inspired by the Minerva creations of the 1950s.

As suggested by the name of the collection it belongs to, the Heritage Automatic Day Date watch draws its esthetics from the past, and more precisely from Minerva, the manufacture acquired in 2006 by the Richemont group and merged into Montblanc. Since then, the wealth of their heritage has contributed to the production of elegant timepieces such as this model.

Here, the time information comes to life in a domed silvery white dial. The dauphine-shaped hour and minute hands, enhanced with a line of luminescent material, point to the hour markers made up of Arabic numerals and rhodium-plated dots. These are rounded out by a blue central second hand that traces its revolutions following the second marker rim of the same color. A wide window at 12 o’clock displays the days of the week in English, while the date is indicated symmetrically at 6 o’clock. This airy composition provides excellent legibility.

Inside the 39-mm stainless steel case with its polished finish, the self-winding movement is at work. The MB 24.18 caliber provides the timepiece with a 38-hour power reserve once wound. Its proper functioning and its precision are certified by the Montblanc Laboratory Test 500. For 500 hours, each watch undergoes a wide range of quality controls.

The Heritage Automatic Day Date comes with a grey Sfumato watchband produced at the house’s leather workshop in Florence. It fastens with a pin buckle.

The silhouette is well known, however the colors chosen by the German brand to decorate this limited edition add an extra touch of charm.

As the official timekeeper of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, which took place in England on July 4-7 this year, Montblanc launched a new limited edition to mark the occasion. Last year, this took the shape of a chronograph decorated with beige and chocolate brown shades for a statement vintage style. This year, the TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph Limited Edition 1500 dons a more understated color scheme to consolidate its contemporary identity: The anthracite gray counters are contained within a charcoal dial and this monochrome setting provides the background for the black luminescent rhodium-plated hour and minute hands. The hands used for the stopwatch and the small seconds are colored red. This contrast transforms the composition, as does the fixed black ceramic bezel equipped with a tachymeter scale. The sporty style of the timepiece is also accentuated by the finish of the 43 mm case. The distressed steel contributes to its remarkable personality.

The time information and short time measurement are regulated with precision by the MB 25.10 caliber (46-hour power reserve). Some of the components of this self-winding movement can be seen through the sapphire case back.

The 1500 pieces of the TimeWalker Manufacture Chronograph come with a completely new and stylish strap in perforated black leather for an impeccable look.

Like a virtuoso musician practising scales, Montblanc shows off its skills in the Heritage collection, with models inspired by the rich past of Minerva, such as this chronograph.

We can set our smartphones today at the press of a finger, but watchmakers have long since been looking for solutions to make it easier to manage short-time intervals on chronographs. The Minerva manufacture, which was taken over by the Richemont group and incorporated into Montblanc in 2006, excells in creating monopusher chronographs that are both practical and refined. How do they work? Just one monopusher interrupts the curved outline of the watch case. Even better, some recent models fit the monopusher into the crown to provide the ultimate pure and simple design. To launch the timer, to stop or reset it, you just need to press down once or more. This system is to be found in the Heritage Monopusher Chronograph, unveiled at the 2019 SIHH. On the dial, simplicity is also the watchword. A 30-minute totaliser at 3 o’clock displays the time measured with a central second hand. A running seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock brings symmetry to the layout of the time elements. Curved, dauphine-style hands move around the figures and indices in a vintage setting.

The 42mm-wide steel case contains the calibre MB 25.12. This automatic movement supplies the watch with an autonomy of 48 hours. The performances are certified by a battery of tests grouped together as the Montblanc Laboratory Test 500.

During the SIHH, the Hamburg brand introduced several new watches, including one inspired by 1950s styles with a salmon-pink dial encircled by a pulsograph scale.

First developed in 1854, the sphygmograph was a mechanical instrument used to measure the heartbeat. It was bulky and somewhat impractical, and gradually lost ground to wrist watches including a pulsometer. These watches found favour with the medical profession in the mid-20th century. Known as “doctors’ watches”, they showed the pulse rate directly on the dial with no mental calculation required. Today, this type of timepiece is much in demand, most of all for its design. Making use of the experience provided by Minerva, Montblanc was inspired by these famous watches to create the Heritage Pulsograph Limited Edition 100, a monopusher chronograph featuring a pulsation bezel to count 30 heart beats. One hundred pieces are available, as its name suggests.

What immediately attracts the eye is the colour on the curved dial, a fine, bright salmon pink. In the centre, the grained central ring houses an hour rim made up of Arabic numerals and silver dots. The hours and minutes are shown with two dauphine-style hands, while the seconds tick away in a blue sub-dial at 9 o’clock. This timekeeping landscape is encircled by a black second scale, around which the blue second hand of the chronograph makes its way, while with the blue pulsograph is near the chapter ring. A totaliser at 3 o’clock counts up the chronograph minutes.

This new watch by Montblanc is powered by the MB M13.21 calibre, a hand-wound movement providing 55 hours of power reserve and housed in a 40mm-wide steel case.

With this limited edition model with a chronograph rattrapante movement, the split function reaches the summits with Montblanc. A real trailblazer!

Since Montblanc incorporated the technical skills of Minerva, the brand has excelled in producing monopusher chronographs. Last year, we saw a limited edition sports watch of this type in the 1858 collection, the 1858 Monopusher Chronograph. At the SIHH 2019, a new version of the model was introduced, the 1858 Split Second Chronograph. While preserving its main technical asset – the split-time measurements using a single button on the crown – the watch innovates with its rattrapante (“catch-up”) function. Two central chronograph hands are included. They are activated by a press on the crown. A touch on the pusher at 2 o’clock stops one of them, while the other continues. It is stopped by another press on the crown. This mechanism means it is easy to time two different events starting at the same time.

On the black dial is a layout previously seen on the Chronograph Vintage in 2010, among others, in the style of the legendary Minerva chronographs. Along with the running seconds dial at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute totaliser at 3 o’clock, two scales catch the eye. One is a telemeter scale, measuring your distance from an audible event, and the other is a spiral-shaped tachymetric scale, giving information about the speed of a moving body.

All these features are housed in a 44mm-wide bronze case that will take on an attractive patina over time. The 100 pieces in this limited edition are driven by the hand-wound MB16.31 movement (50 hours of power reserve).
