Blessed with grace, like all the timepieces created by the watchmaker based in the canton of Geneva, this new exclusive curvy-shaped edition adopts the warm hues of autumn.

It is in the heart of autumn, when nature is tinged with deep yellows and orange-reds, that Laurent Ferrier has chosen to unveil a watch, offered in a limited edition of only 25 pieces. Three years after the first reference that gave birth to a new shape in the collections of the watchmaker based in the canton of Geneva, a sporty and curved silhouette whose “cushion” typology is accentuated by the square bezel with rounded corners, the Grand Sport Tourbillon Golden Brown imposes its luminous garb that reflects the gentle warmth of the late season.

Measuring 44mm in diameter and 13.40mm thin, the red gold case is attached to a three-row link bracelet, machined from the same precious metal, perfectly integrated for a total fusion with the wrist. It houses the LF619.01 caliber, a 3hz mechanical movement with manual winding, incorporating a double spiral tourbillon – hidden by the circular-carved small seconds counter on the front side of the watch, visible on the back side, like the ruthenium finish of the bridges, thanks to a sapphire crystal window – and delivering a significant 80-hour power reserve. Covered in a beautiful, vaporous chocolate color, which starts with intense coffee on the periphery and fades to caramelized cocoa in the center, the dial features drop-style applied hour markers flanked by a pair of “assagai” hands displaying the hours and minutes, all in red gold and highlighted with white Super-LumiNova®.

As sublime as it is exclusive, the latest creation from the Geneva-based watchmaker instantly seduces with the gentle freshness of its dial and its famous pebble-shaped case.

While the summer season unofficially took hold a few weeks ago, encroaching on a good part of the spring, Laurent Ferrier invites us to fly to other destinations in search of freshness. The Classic Traveller “Série Atelier” Magnetic Green, his new watch limited to 15 pieces and only available on his website, evokes the green softness of a mountain lake bordered by a forest of conifers.

Faithful to the codes of the Geneva-based brand – a strong aesthetic signature and impeccable mechanics – this timepiece is part of the very exclusive Série Atelier initiated in 2020. It features a sage green face, delicately satin-finished with a sunburst finish that merges in a circular pattern towards the hour circle. The latter is composed of drop-shaped hour markers, white gold appliques that seem to plunge towards this watermint immensity. Two windows on either side of the dial, respectively punctuated by a grey gold nail, display the date (at 3 o’clock) and the home time (at 9 o’clock), while the center is occupied by two assegai-style hands to indicate the local time. The local time is set by the fluted crown, while the reference time is controlled by the two pushers on the left side of the 41mm case made of grade 5 titanium. A small second at 6 o’clock completes the time data.

These indispensable displays come to life under the impetus of the LF 230.02 caliber, a 3hz automatic movement equipped with a solid gold micro-rotor and delivering a comfortable three-day power reserve. The watch is worn on a velvety touch bracelet in emerald green Nubuck lined with Alcantara, with a titanium pin buckle.

The Geneva-based brand just unveiled not one but two exceptional timepieces, two minimalist interpretations of the Art Deco spirit in watchmaking that are at the same time both similar and different. Choosing may well be difficult!

There are those in this world who hold a magical power, the ability to transform everything they touch into something beautiful and to bring light just with their fingertips. No need for a magic wand, only two essential things: talent and passion. Laurent Ferrier is undoubtedly one of these enchanters. Each of the creations that come out of his Geneva workshop is dazzling. The Square Micro-rotor Retro timepiece duo is ample proof of this. The minimalist elegance of this pair is clearly inspired by the Art Deco movement, and the heart of it is as sublime as it is high-performance.

As with every Laurent Ferrier timepiece, this duo is no exception to the rule. The rounded lines of the cushion-shaped case, 41x41mm in diameter and 11.10mm thick, beckon to be caressed. To punctuate these delicate ergonomics, the crown has a ball shape with fluted edges. Forged in either steel or red gold, the casing houses the FBN 229.01 caliber, a movement that winds automatically via a unidirectional ratchet micro-rotor. This is optimized thanks to the silicon escapement with double direct impulse to the balance wheel. Beating at a gentle frequency of 3hz, this movement delivers an energy reserve of three days.

Coated with an opaline finish, the dial faces are available in light silver and charcoal gray, and the Arabic numerals are in anthracite or matte white. The 3 and 9 are positioned horizontally and linked by a circle punctuated by a small azure second hand at 6 o’clock, and a railroad track along the perimeter. The brand’s traditional signature sagaie-shaped hands display the hours and minutes in the center.

The khaki or dark grey alligator skin strap with Alcantara lining closes with a pin buckle.

In keeping with the delicacy and craftsmanship that distinguishes each of his timepieces, Laurent Ferrier presents a new, highly exclusive series of his annual calendar, beautifully displayed thanks in particular to the marriage of blue and orange.

If refinement were a palpable emotion, even at the touch of your fingertips, Laurent Ferrier would be its founding craftsman. Each of the timepieces lovingly conceived and crafted in his workshop in Plan-les-Ouates, the very epicenter of Geneva watchmaking, is an ode to beauty and mechanical perfection. Its latest opus, the Navy Annual Calendar School “Workshop Series II” watch, is no exception to what would seem to be a rule and a line of conduct. Apart from its undeniable elegance, this very exclusive edition, producing only ten timepieces, is a firework display for the eyes, and the wrist as well, notably brought about by a dynamic marriage between the blue of a summer sky and the orange of a setting sun.

It is inspired by a casing created by Laurent Ferrier when he was a student in watchmaking school. The steel case measures 40mm and is punctuated by a fluted ball-type crown and a push-button at 10 o’clock for the day setting. It houses the manual caliber LF126.01 providing 80 hours of power reserve. Which is shown on the back of the watch when you turn it over to admire the decorations on the sapphire crystal-covered caseback.

Finished in blue, the dial captures light by alternating two types of satin-finishing, vertical in the center and circular under the hour ring that borders the flange. Like lightning in the dark of night, the orange color coats the two assegai-shaped hands that indicate the hours and minutes. The baton-type small seconds hand and the three markers illuminate the light gray indexes. Also positioned in the center, a white hand displays the date by following a band of numbers from which the 31 stands out in sky blue. Towards 12 o’clock, two windows show the day and the month on a light background.

To accentuate the softness of the overall look, the watch is worn with a blue or orange nubuck strap that closes with a steel pin buckle.

After rounded and cushion-style cases, Laurent Ferrier has taken a different direction with a new body marking a break with its traditions in a watch introduced at the SIHH 2019.

This year, Laurent Ferrier is celebrating its ninth anniversary. In this short time, the brand that only makes between 100 and 150 watches a year has already earned widespread recognition, winning a number of prizes at the GPHG (Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève). Crowned with success, the entrepreneur of the same name is now continuing his quest for excellence with a new model, the Bridge One. This is his first rectangular watch, with a design inspired by 19th century industrial structures, bridges and glass roofs, such as the Passerelle de l’île in Geneva. On the steel case (30mm x 44mm), all the elements are designed as curves, including the tinted sapphire crystal, bringing out the different shapes and providing wearing comfort. Two versions are available. The first features stylised hands on a “Grand Feu” enamel dial adorned with Roman numerals at 6 and 12 o’clock, along with indices. This uncluttered and elegant composition provides excellent readability. The second model has a different atmosphere with a slate-grey dial. The Roman number 12 is still there, but a second hand has now been added at 6 o’clock.

The versions are powered by a rectangular calibre, the LF 107.01, specially developed for the Bridge One. Once fully wound, the hand-wound movement provides 80 hours of power reserve.

The models come with an alligator leather or alcantara strap, depending on the versions. Both are equipped with a folding clasp.

After winning a prize at the GPHG with its Galet Annual Calendar watch, Laurent Ferrier has launched two versions of this accurate and elegant model taking inspiration from the contrasting colours on a chessboard.

With a great deal of humility and emotion Laurent Ferrier took to the stage at the Théâtre du Léman to receive the “Men’s Complication Watch Prize“ for his Galet Annual Calendar School Watch at the CPHG (Grand Prix de Genève) on 9 November. The award has prompted a new pair of watches scheduled for release before the SIHH (Salon de la Haute Horlogerie de Genève) in Geneva from 14 to 18 January: the Galet Annual Calendar School Opaline Black & White, a complex name for a watch that is nonetheless very easy to use.

Designed by Laurent Ferrier, the “galet” (“pebble”) shape borrows its perfect curves from the pocket watches of the late 19th and early 20th century. The 40mm-wide case is available in pink or yellow gold or steel and features slender lugs and a rounded crown with fine fluting. The watch case houses the calibre LF126.01, a hand-wound movement running at a relaxed 21,600 vibrations an hour (3hz) and providing a power reserve of 80 hours, with an indicator on the back of the watch. The crown is used to set the date and the month, with a monopusher at 10 o’clock for the day.

The opaline dial is inspired by the colour contrast on a chessboard. It comes in white, encircled with dark blue Arabic numerals with the number 31 in red, or in black with light blue and burgundy indications. The hours and minutes are shown with two spear-shaped and baton hands, while the seconds tick away in a sub-dial at 6 o’clock. The date is displayed with a central hand, which is also spear-shaped and coloured red or burgundy.
