Affordable luxury isn’t hackneyed marketing patter for the brand from Le Locle. These reinterpretations of a great classic with their attractive price tag actually substantiate this axiom.

Just like society that was undergoing rapid change in the 1960s, a new wind of creative change would set watch design free from conventions. At Tissot, watch cases forsook the familiar rounded shape and went on to explore one-of-a-kind geometrics in 1965 through the Stylist collection. Oval and rectangular models, masterfully mixing straight lines and curves, would take center stage during the 70s, forever with a desire to reinvent the codes of a style that was offbeat yet elegant. This year, the brand from Le Locle has chosen to reconnect with this creative past and has revived this appealing range with two initial references with great stylistic personality.

This duo shares the same sophisticated identity. The cushion-shaped case, waterproof to depths of 50 meters, definitely places the accent on elegance through its harmonious 32 mm-diameter, 7 mm-slim size. What’s more, the baton-type hour and minute hands are driven by a highly-accurate quartz caliber equipped with a battery lifetime indicator. Here, time data scenography is resolutely low-key. Yet, incredibly effective. One stands out with its gradient-toned blue dial featuring Roman numerals, the other boasts a sunburst silvered decor set off with yellow PVD markers. The first is complemented by a black leather strap, the second, a light brown one. An interchangeable quick release system invites wearers to opt for an alternative anytime, anywhere. Given its great versatility, the Stylist will always be at the ready to match wardrobes and moods.

It’s impossible not to be enthralled by this creation adorned with a depiction of one of the galaxy’s most famous robots! Once again, Tissot’s all the rage with its PRX.

Since it was broadcast from 1978 onwards in Europe under the name of Grendizer, Yūfō Robo Gurendaizā, literally “UFO Robot Grendizer”, also known as “Goldorak” in France, became a cult series for a whole generation. The same year, a sporty-looking icon, Tissot‘s Seastar Quartz, was rolled out. In 2021, this watch rose like a phoenix in the guise of the PRX driven by a powerful selfwinding movement. Thanks to the TV production of a reboot of the series, Grendizer U, the Swiss brand brings the two pop phenomena together for the first time ever in an unprecedented creation brought to life by Caliber 80, the PRX UFO Robot Goldorak.

This new model has everything it takes to become an intergenerational standard-bearer. The bust of the famous armed giant is portrayed on the stellar-blue dial. A pair of hour and minute hands, along with a direct-drive boasting a haken-shaped tip hover over this depiction. The engraving set off with yellow-glowing Super-LumiNova^® paint rules supreme in the dark whilst intense green dazzles on the hands and tapered markers. On the upper edge of this spectacular scenography, the wording “UFO ロボ グレンダイザー”, the title of the original version of the animated series, discreetly conjures up the exclusiveness of the piece. Another representation of Grendizer adorns the rotor visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback. Last but not least, its case takes on the features of the Spazer, the protective robot’s red and white spaceship.

The brand from Le Locle is expanding its collections with new, smaller versions of its emblematic dive watch, which performs well on both land and water.

As summer approaches, Tissot unveils five versions of the Seastar 1000 Powermatic 80 dive watch. They all have incredibly seductive features. The dial has a gradient emerald green or dark ocean blue brushed finish. An alternative version for three of them comes in shades of gray veering towards black around the edges. All models have the same time information display. Large hour and minute hands hover over an hour chapter comprising markers. All of these elements are coated in Super-LumiNova^® to offer excellent readability in all conditions. A date window at 6 o’clock completes the data. The models feature the essential unidirectional rotating bezel and its graduated scale to ensure the safety of all underwater excursions.

Waterproof to a depth of 300 meters, compared to 600 meters for the Seastar 2000 (43mm), the 40mm-diameter case in steel or in steel with black PVD coating fits every wrist. It effectively protects the powerful caliber 80. This automatic movement, which reveals its oscillating weight through the sapphire crystal back, offers a power reserve of 80 hours. Depending on the variation, the timepiece has a metal or rubber strap. They are all interchangeable. One of these timepieces comes in a combination of gray and 1N14 yellow gold.  Just to show that water sports can be stylish too.

For the 111^th edition which began in Florence in Italy and will end in Paris, the brand revealed a chronograph to celebrate the most famous cycling race in the world.

Like every year, the most popular sporting event attracts cycling fans. Tissot, official timekeeper of the Tour de France since 2016, presents a watch in the colors of the legendary race for each edition. This year, the PR 100 Tour de France Special Edition features a 40 mm-diameter, 11.3 mm-thick case in 316 L stainless steel. The competition logo decorates the back.

Inside this case, water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters, the time information moves on a black dial whose surface is reminiscent of asphalt. The hands to measure time are painted in yellow. The direct-drive has a bicycle-shaped counterweight.

To guarantee excellent readability in all conditions, the hour and minute hands and the markers are coated in white Super-LumiNova^®. All of these elements and the date at half past four are driven by a Swiss Made quartz caliber. Two straps accompany this sporty-looking model. The steel one can be easily interchanged with a bi-material alternative imitating the texture of handlebars. The PR 100 Tour de France Special Edition can thus be worn with or without the winner’s jersey. Note that a PR 100 La Vuelta a España is also available for the same price. Two limited editions have just celebrated 25 years of the partnership between the brand from Le Locle and the organizers of the MotoGP World Championship.

A quarter of a century ago, Tissot became the official timekeeper of the MotoGP World Championship. Two years later, the first MotoGP^TM watch entered the track. Since then, the T-Race collection has continued to expand with new chronographs, evoking the passion of competition through aesthetic details inspired by the design of supercharged “two wheelers”. This year, the T-Race MotoGP^TM 75^th Anniversary comes in a limited series of 2,024, made with a 45 mm-diameter steel case crowned with a black PDV bezel in the shape of a brake disc. The body with the pushers and crown has the lines of handlebars and engine cooling fins. On the semi-transparent deep blue dial circled with a tachymetric scale, touches of red add energy to the display of time information, while the sub-dials and the small seconds are reminiscent of speed indicators. This reference stands out with the presence of a pusher at 10 o’clock for setting the date.

The rotations of the hour and minute hands, along with the short time measurement, are orchestrated by an automatic Valjoux A05 movement fitted with a Nivachron^TM spiral, which is insensitive to magnetic fields. This model is supplied in a box in the form of a helmet. This original case also accompanies another, more affordable special edition, produced in 8,000 copies, powered by a quartz caliber with its own styling, but with the same sporty spirit.

With this new, exclusive collaboration with the American sports equipment manufacturer, the brand from Le Locle revisits its diver’s watch with a design inspired by basketball.

While its black circular brushed dial features the well-known layout to display time information using large hands and markers coated in white Super-LumiNova^®, the unidirectional rotating bezel on the Seastar Wilson^® WNBA creates a surprise. A scale highlights the 24 seconds during which a basketball shot must be attempted when a team is in possession of the ball.

This nod to this team sport is not the only one in this collaboration between Tissot and the official ball supplier for the women’s national basketball association in the United States. The watch can be worn on either of two easily interchangeable straps provided in the box, one orange and one white, made in the same fabric as that used for WNBA Evo-NXT balls by Wilson^®.

The brand from Le Locle brings one of its sports watches from the 70s up to date. Here, vintage spirit consorts with up-to-the-minute technical performances brilliantly.

With its 2024 PR516 models, Tissot recaptures the heyday of motor racing. This chronograph draws its style from the ever-so popular model unveiled back in 1968. The Peruvian race car driver, Henry Bradley (1940-2016), an avid Tissot fan and legendary rally figure, engraved its name on the bodywork of his Ferrari. These adornments from yesteryear and today aren’t easily ignored.

The counters and the small second on the intense black dial take on the same tri-compax position. And, just like in its older sibling, this time round, the watch jazzes up its sporty look with savvy dashes of orange and blue. This scenography, topped by a sapphire-crystal glassbox, is encircled by a functional bezel set off with a tachymetric scale and a pulsometer. And, to ensure optimal time reading whenever, wherever, the first quarter of the bezel is adorned with Super-LumiNova^® just like the markers and the hands.

What’s more, not only is the design of the original PR516 perpetuated in this timepiece, but Tissot had the great idea of equipping its chronograph with a hand-wound movement just like in its models from the 70s. As such, a caliber specially developed for the occasion, beats inside the 41 mm-diameter case. Some of the components can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback. This movement, the Valjoux A05.291, a spin-off of the 7753, offers a dazzling performance. It delivers a comfortable power reserve of 68 hours that’s totally in tune with the times. Its timekeeping is brilliant, around +/- 5 seconds a day. Long before touchscreens invaded the world, Tissot had already innovated with its T-Touch in 1999. At the time, you could browse through its menus just by touching its sapphire crystal. Since then, this watch offering a host of possibilities has embraced a wide array of technological improvements. This time round, the brand unveils an impatiently-awaited upgrade with its T-Touch Connect Sport, the first-ever model equipped with sport and health functions. The different colored variations, imagined around a versatile 43.75 mm-diameter titanium, black PVD or rose gold PVD case, waterproof to depths of 50 meters, are equipped with a bright AMOLED screen that ensures excellent data readability under any condition of light.

Thanks to its operating system, monitoring activities like running and cycling becomes child’s play. All the data collected (speed, heart rate, calories, etc.) are transmitted to a smartphone once the dedicated app has been downloaded. After its Telemeter 1938, the brand from Le Locle breathes life into a duo whose design is inspired by the style of timepieces from the 1930s yet boasts incredibly-accurate, up-to-the-minute movements.

“Not affected by the passage of time or changes in fashion”. The definition of the word ‘timeless’ found in any good dictionary fits the new watches unveiled by Tissot Heritage Gent COSC 1938 and Heritage Small Second Auto COSC 1938 like a glove. This pair, taking their inspiration from historic pieces, flaunts the same 39 mm-diameter, 11.10 mm-thick steel-crafted case. Yet, the models differ visually through their respective dials. One features a waffled anthracite dial encircled by a minute tracker. The hour chapter, comprising golden Arabic numerals, is hovered over by two slender hour and minute hands. A small seconds nestling at 6 o’clock and a date aperture at 3 o’clock complete the vintage-looking scenography. Time data is driven by the 2895-2 caliber.
