ALPINE EAGLE 41 XPS Chopard

ALPINE EAGLE 41 XPS Chopard

Extra flat, extra precise, extra chic

At this year’s Watches & Wonders 2023 in Geneva, the manufacturer is revealing its latest additions. Among these innovations is a refined steel variation of its sporty-chic timepiece.

XPS refers to eXtra Flat and eXtra Precision. With this designation, Chopard identifies its watches that combine a slim case with an Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) certified chronometer caliber. From an aesthetic perspective, each model is further distinguished by the presence of a small seconds hand. The Alpine Eagle 41 XPS indeed has all these distinctive features. For this exclusive new variation, the manufacturer has also broadened its color palette by adding the Mont Rose to the dial of this model. This warm, elegant shade, achieved through galvanic treatment, is adorned with a radiant pattern evoking the iris of an eagle, as is the case with all the references in the collection. The watch hands and hour markers are embossed with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1, ensuring flawless legibility under all lighting conditions.

The minimal dimensions of the L.U.C 96.40-L caliber allow watchmakers to opt for a slim case machined from Lucent Steel A223, 41mm in diameter and only 8mm thick. This exclusive metal is made from 70% recycled material and is more resistant than conventional steel. The self-winding movement fitted with two superimposed cylinders provides 65 hours of power reserve. Moreover, a stop-second function ensures accurate time setting. The traditional finishes, such as the bridges bearing the Geneva waves, the quality of the assembly, and the reliability are what qualify the Alpine Eagle 41 XPS to receive the Poinçon de Genève. Its perfectly integrated wristband brings sporty elegance to the highest level.
